Get in Touch

Ballet but not…..

In the PAST ballet provided images, legends, spaces and institutions through which Queer artists and audiences could achieve some degree of visibility.

NOW we create a safe space of full visibility with Queer artists for ALL audiences to learn, engage, discover and enjoy.

We work with a diverse range of humans who identify as Queer as well as creative ALLIES, organisations and audiences.

Founded by Artistic Director Jonathan Watkins

‘I am really proud to have Ballet Queer in the world. I am passionate about exploring Queer identities and stories with diverse and talented artists and creatives. Our experiences, as members of the LGBTQ+ community, are incredibly important and I believe will engage with all audiences. Ballet Queer is shaped and guided by these collaborations producing authentic, thought-provoking and much-needed new work’.
